Dr Leslie Kasper
Leslie grew up in SeaTac and attended Tyee High School. Always knowing she
wanted to become a veterinarian, Leslie gained experience working in the field
as an assistant and technician through high school and undergraduate school.
Graduating from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine
in 2005, she initially worked in Cheney, WA just outside of Spokane at a mixed
animal practice. Although she enjoyed working with the livestock and farmers,
she missed her family in Western Washington and the less stressful (and
painful) small animal aspects of practice.
Dr Kasper (then Strelow) spent the next two-and-a-half years practicing in both
Bellevue and Renton, where she developed the clinical medicine, professional
networking, and business skills she utilizes today.
Leslie married her long-time (12yrs!) boyfriend and Burien-native, Michael
Kasper, the summer of 2007. Leslie and Mike love living and working in the
South Seattle area: "This is where our friends and families live. I can't imagine
being anywhere else!" In addition, both of their mothers work for the Highline
School District (Karen Strelow -- Hazel Valley, Debbie Kasper -- Gregory
Heights).Their family also consists of two miniature dachshunds, Piglet and
Molly, as well as a DSH lilac torti named PufDuster and two adopted kittens--
TuTu and Evalyn.
In addition to Small Animal veterinary medicine, Dr Kasper has always had a
passion for swine; so it was no surprise that when a rescued pot-belly pig
needed a foster home, she jumped at the opportunity. Bentley, "the sweetest
little pig in the world" makes Leslie grin from ear to ear everyday she cares for
him! Maybe word will get around and someday you'll see a pet-pig in the lobby
waiting for their own turn to see Dr Kasper!
In her free time, Leslie enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, Medalist Darts,
helping Mike rebuild his classic cars, and riding around town on their Harley.

Meet The Staff!
Lisa -- Certified Veterinary Technician:
Congratulations to Lisa who just graduated from PIMA Medical Institute's
Veterinary Technican program in July. She will receive her full licensure in
January after completing the National Exam. Lisa has lived in Seattle her
whole life and has always loved working with animals. Lisa is married with
two kids, two dogs, and 5 cats (Oh My!)
Rose -- Certified Veterinary Assistant:
Rose also attended PIMA Medical Institute graduating in 2003 with her
assistant certificate. Since then she has worked in both corporate and
emergency practices. Currently Rose is pursuing a full veterinary
technician license as she has always enjoyed learning more about animals
and the field. When not working, Rose enjoys spending time outdoors
hiking and camping with her shepherd mix Chance and her husband.
Teghan -- Veterinary Assistant:
Teghan was born and raised in Southern California, making her way to the
northwest when she was 13. After graduating from Foster High School,
Teghan joined the Air Force and worked as a jet engine mechanic. After
four years of service, she was accepted to the University of Washington and
received her BA in Psychology in 2008. Teghan began working in the
veterinary field just recently, gaining experience with animals and clients
which will help with her ultimate goal of getting her masters degree in Animal
Behavior. Teghan has three cats: Precious, Tinkerbelle, and Boxer.
Melanie -- Licensed Veterinary Technician:
When Dr Kasper started the process of establishing CAMC, Melanie was
right there next to her. Although Melanie now works full time in a specialized
field of veterinary medicine, she continues to ensure she also spends time
on the schedule at CAMC. Melanie graduated from the Veterinary
Technician program at PIMA Medical Institute, as well as passed her
national exam, in the summer of 2008 giving her the Licensed Veterinary
Technician title. Melanie enjoys reading, classical music and opera,
photography, curling up with her cat Froggy Doggie and her friend's cat
Agent 99 (whom she is taking care of for a few months), and continuing to
learn everything she can about anything and everything! Melanie is looking
forward to the upcoming Harry Potter movie as she is a self-described
"Potterhead!"
